Earlier today I wrote a blog entry that caused me a great deal of upset and pain (please read it).

Basically, 2 of my stalkers, both editors on other Liverpool FC websites, started a fresh attempt to smear my name by claiming that I had kept a £1000 donation (it was actually $1000) made for the Hillsborough Justice Campaign by American-based sports host Steve Cohen. They claimed that Steve Cohen had told them that he had sent the donation to me and that I had never handed over the money to the HJC. I denied this. I made it clear that I had never accepted any donations. I sent Steve Cohen direct to the HJC and he will back this up.

I immediately contacted the HJC and Steve Cohen after these upsetting allegations circulated the internet today.

Steve Cohen contacted said an email to me: “I have not spoken to anyone… I made the donation directly to them (HJC) and addressed the envelope directly to them (HJC)… there is no chance I would have made a check out to you.  I am sure that I could go back through my bank records if need be.”

He can verify this.

I haven’t heard from the HJC as yet as I only mailed them a few hours ago but I will update them about this. The other claim by these 2 individuals was that I had pledged to donate a PC to the HJC many years ago but that I never made that donation. The HJC can confirm that this is another lie. They were very appreciative at the time following a break in at their shop.

I am appalled, disgusted and ashamed at the actions of these so called Liverpool supporters including those who re-tweeted the original claims without thinking or politely enquiring.

I totally understand that KopTalk is not for everyone. I understand that I bring some of this on myself because of my controversial editorial style. I also understand that when these sick individuals cannot get at me that they have to publish lies as it’s all they have. They’ve attacked me, my family, my children and my friends for years. Now they are attacking the 96.

What makes it worse is so many naive Liverpool supporters acted like sheep and believed their lies. I find that incredibly sad. You’re as bad as the 2 sad individuals responsible.

Shame on all of you for using Hillsbrough in this manner. I am disgusted. Maybe now independent people looking in will see what kind of upsetting stuff I have to put up with on a regular basis.

And before anyone starts criticising me for involing the 96 I have done nothing other than defend myself against theese very hurtful and serious allegations. I will now decide whether or not to take legal action against the two responsible.

Thankyou Steve Cohen for verifying that these people were posting nothing but shameful lies and thankyou for your original donation in the first place.

Those of you that hate KopTalk and hate me, cool, I have no problem with that. Do what you have to do, even if that means you have to continue with your regurgitated lies about me, but leave the memories of the 96 alone you sad, sad people.

The issue is now closed. I have answered these two allegations because I was blown away that anyone, so called die-hard, old-skool, Reds – actual Scousers – could stoop so low.

Disgusted.

Earlier today I was contacted by several of my regular stalkers who spend a lot of their time trying to smear my name. They claimed that many years ago I received and did not donate a £1000 donation to the Hillsborough Justice Campaign that was pledged by controversial American-based presenter Steve Cohen. They also claimed that I had not handed a brand new computer over to the HJC that I offered to buy them following a break-in at their premises. I am absolutely appalled, disgusted and sickened at their latest claims that are not true.

I have been subjected to abuse, lies and threats on both myself and my family for many years by some of these people. Usually they are associated to other Liverpool FC websites or they’re people we have banned from our communities. I can handle that, it comes with the territory. The police have been involved before, when my children were brought into it, but the incident made me and my family stronger.

The latest round of lies touches on the memories of the 96. As I type this I feel physically sick. Not just because of how low these people have gone but because I am also full of anger. Taking shots at me is one thing but including the 96 is sickening. I am absolutely agast by this.

It is very difficult for me because one side of me doesn’t want to respond to such nonsense but the other side of me needs to speak out because people read things on the internet and assume it to be true.

I have never, in all my life, accepted any form of donation for anyone or anything and not handed it over. If people offer to make donations to causes that we support I ask them to make such donations direct. It is a strict policy that I introduced to protect myself because of this kind of nonsense once their campaign against me started.

I am saddened today because these people are Liverpool supporters, yet their obsession with me – from 2 people in particular who run their own Liverpool FC websites – seems to take priority.

The HJC were very grateful when I donated the computer all those years ago. I have had no dealings with Steve Cohen since he made an original pledge to donate *£1000 to the HJC but I have sent him an email within the last hour. I will also be contacting the HJC.

I can’t even remember when the Steve Cohen incident was, maybe 9 years ago? Maybe more, I’m not sure, I’m sure those making the lies know exactly when Steve Cohen offended a lot of Reds (and it wasn’t the most recent time around) and when I reported on KopTalk the pledge he made. However, what I do know, is that I have never, ever taken a single penny from anyone that was intended for someone or something else and retained it. If someone wants to claim that, instead of posting such lies online, call the police and stick your neck on the line.

I’m gutted that I had to type this up. But I can’t ignore these claims as I find them sickening. It’s one thing to target me and my family but I just can’t ignore this because of the reference to the 96.

I will not allow myself to be drawn into a debate about this with these people so this is the only post I will make about the matter. I just hope they’re very proud of themselves for spouting their lies. This, their worst yet.

Sadly I allowed myself to reply to these people online this afternon. I have since deleted the posts I made because I was so angry at the time. I stand by the posts I made though in that those responsible are nothing but jealous morons. But for crying out loud, you run Liverpool FC websites, I run a Liverpool FC website, the internet is big enough for all of us. I don’t consider KopTalk a rival to anyone – why should I? I was here before the newcomers who are obsessed with KopTalk, back in the days of dial-up, but the more Liverpool FC websites we have today, the better. I just want to interact with the Liverpool fans who enjoy the site and who want to talk LFC.

I won’t give into bullies. There are more people who enjoy KopTalk and the work I do than those who oppose and hate. Weaker people would walk away from this but I won’t turn my back on the many Reds who have supported me for the last 12 years.

It’s a shame that those responsible can’t just concentrate on their own websites and leave ours alone. Maybe I’m a fool for even responding, I’m not sure, but so be it if that’s the case.

If you want to keep up the attacks and lies on me and my family, that’s cool, I can live with that, but I would ask you to leave Hillsborough and the 96 out of it.

Website rivalry? Pathetic, childish and non-sensical.
